SHAHEED RUCKER

Shaheed Rucker is a Philadelphia-based visual artist, creative director, and brand strategist whose practice explores the intersection of art, design, and cultural memory. A former Creative Director of JET Magazine, Rucker works across collage, graphic design, exhibitions, spatial environments, and experiential storytelling, often reimagining familiar cultural icons to uncover overlooked histories and celebrate the people and places that shape collective identity. His work has been exhibited at the African American Museum in Philadelphia, Einstein Healthcare Network, and the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, including Recovering the Iconic, his ongoing reimagining of the iconic JET magazine cover. He has also curated cultural exhibitions, including a Hip Hop exhibition at Temple University’s Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection. His practice moves between contemporary art, cultural curation, and design, creating new ways for history to be experienced, collected, and remembered.
